For door fabricators, panel distributors and partition contractors, a PVC-faced XPS sandwich panel is a component to be matched to an assembly. A useful quotation identifies the skin on each face, the core and the finished dimensions. “White insulated panel” leaves too many decisions to the supplier.
Download the bulk enquiry worksheet
Download the bulk enquiry worksheet (Excel .xlsx). Use one line per panel size and construction. Identify face A and face B in the facing field or item notes, and attach the cutting list and frame-fit drawing.
Complete the Enquiry and Order items tabs, then email the workbook and supporting files to Tina at Banarta. Available configurations, minimum quantities, price and delivery timing are confirmed in the quotation.
Banarta lists a PVC-faced XPS panel for wall and door enquiries. Use that reference when requesting the PVC option. The broader sandwich-panel table also lists other facings, so it does not confirm every dimension or performance value for the PVC construction.

Specify both skins and the finished panel
| Layer or detail | What to put in the RFQ |
|---|---|
| Outside face | Exact PVC material, thickness, colour, finish and exposure requirements. |
| Inside face | Confirm whether it matches the outside face; list any different finish or skin thickness. |
| XPS core | Required grade or performance evidence, core thickness and the chosen configuration. |
| Finished panel | Overall thickness, cut length and width, dimensional tolerances and squareness. |
| Edges and openings | Drawing reference for cut-outs, edge treatment, inserts or reinforcement to be reviewed. |
If your specification says UPVC, write the exact requirement rather than assuming every PVC-facing offer is equivalent. Ask the supplier to identify the supplied skin material and its supporting information. A similar appearance does not establish the same formulation, weathering behaviour or suitability for an adhesive.
Resolve frame fit before approving bulk cutting
For an infill panel, give the fabricator’s required finished panel dimensions and the frame or rebate section. Identify the intended seals, edge clearance and fitting method. Keep the opening dimension separate from the finished cut size; one should not be silently substituted for the other.
A small cross-section sample helps discuss layers and appearance. A representative fit sample or trial piece answers a different question: whether the agreed panel works with the proposed frame and tolerances. Record both checks against the same drawing revision.
Hardware, concentrated fixings and load transfer need their own details. Do not assume screws placed only into a foam core provide the required retention. Send reinforcement or fixing requirements for review by the responsible designer and supplier.
State the operating environment
List indoor or outdoor exposure, service conditions, cleaning products and any appearance requirements. For external use, ask for evidence relevant to the selected facing and complete construction. A white PVC surface alone does not establish UV resistance, fire classification, acoustic performance or a certified door system.
Where the project specifies thermal performance, distinguish core-material data from a finished panel or complete door result. Joints, frame and surrounding construction can affect assembly performance. Put the required evidence and its scope in the RFQ instead of asking for a generic “certificate”.
Make the cutting schedule usable
| Schedule field | Example of the information needed |
|---|---|
| Part reference | Unique panel mark linked to the buyer drawing. |
| Finished dimensions | Length × width × overall thickness in mm; tolerances. |
| Face orientation | Identify visible face, directional finish or unequal skins. |
| Processing | Cut-outs, edge treatment and reinforcement location, if required. |
| Quantities | Pieces for each part; replacements or allowance listed separately. |
| Packing groups | Sequence by opening, room, production batch or destination. |
Ask whether the offer is for stock sheets, cut blanks or processed components. Compare material cost, cutting allowance, processing and packing separately. A lower price per gross sheet may require more waste or more work in your workshop.
Approve the finish and packing
- Retain an approved face sample and define acceptable appearance under agreed viewing conditions.
- Agree protection for faces, corners and cut edges; confirm any protective film and removal guidance.
- Confirm finished-panel identification without marking the visible face incorrectly.
- Check packed size, weight and unloading restrictions for the delivery route.
- Record damage and dimensional deviations before processing or fitting affected panels.
For panels that must coordinate with existing frames, use the finish-sample matching card to identify both panel faces and the corresponding frame samples.
Send a comparable enquiry
Include the panel link, intended assembly, both skin specifications, finished sizes, drawing revision, quantities, required documents and destination. Ask the quotation to list unavailable details, proposed alternatives, minimum quantity, sample arrangements and lead time.
Use the custom sandwich-panel RFQ guide for the drawing package. If the face material is still undecided, compare the XPS core sandwich-panel options before requesting a final offer. Discuss your PVC panel schedule with Banarta.
