China’s composite-panel supply chain brings together foam cores, facing materials and panel processing, creating a strong base for custom B2B sourcing. Banarta helps overseas buyers coordinate those choices through manufacturing partnerships. Start with a controlled drawing and panel schedule so the quotation, sample and bulk order describe the same finished panel.
Make coordinated sourcing work for custom panels
The advantage is the combination of materials and processing. Specify each facing separately, then define the core, finished thickness and cut parts. Keep PVC, FRP and aluminium options as distinct quotation lines; similar-looking panels can have different constructions and applications.
Ask for the preferred production sheet format as well as the finished part sizes. Review the cutting layout and material yield before deciding whether to order full sheets or finished parts. Include protective film, face orientation and pallet stacking in that comparison so savings in cutting do not create extra receiving work.
For OEM and repeat orders, use a single approval record covering the drawing revision, material references, first-piece result and package labels. Separate sample preparation, first-piece approval, bulk production and dispatch as order milestones. This gives both sides a practical way to plan continuity when demand or shipping schedules change.
Use the China XPS sandwich panel range to select a starting construction, then send your drawing, quantities and destination for a coordinated quotation.
Download the bulk enquiry worksheet
Download the bulk enquiry worksheet (Excel .xlsx). Use one line per panel ID or distinct specification. Record each drawing and revision, identify both facings, and attach the dimensioned drawings separately.
Complete the Enquiry and Order items tabs, then email the workbook and supporting files to Tina at Banarta. Available configurations, minimum quantities, price and delivery timing are confirmed in the quotation.
Define the complete construction
| Drawing or order field | Include |
|---|---|
| Panel ID | A unique reference used on the drawing and order |
| Construction | Face A, core and face B, with thicknesses and finishes |
| Geometry | Overall dimensions, cut-outs, hole positions and edge profiles |
| Tolerances | The dimensions that need control and agreed acceptance criteria |
| Orientation | Which face is visible; direction-sensitive finishes and handed parts |
| Quantity | Count per panel ID, including any agreed spares |
| Revision | Drawing revision and date accepted for the quotation |
Do not make every dimension a tight tolerance by default. Identify what is necessary for interfaces and fit, then confirm what can be supplied. A tolerance should be measurable using an agreed method, rather than a vague request for “perfect accuracy”.

What drawings are needed for a custom sandwich panel quotation?
A useful drawing pack contains a dimensioned face view, a section or edge detail, and a quantity schedule linked by panel ID. If the construction is not decided, first use the guide to XPS core and facing selection to identify what still needs confirmation.
- Identify the viewing side. Label face A and face B and mark “viewed from face A” on the face view. Show the top edge or installation direction where orientation matters.
- Give hole and cut-out positions a clear reference. State the units, identify the reference edges, and dimension each feature from those edges. Specify whether a dimension locates a hole centre or the edge of an opening. A photograph of a ruler beside a sample should not be the only position reference.
- Use separate IDs for handed parts. For example, P01-L and P01-R may have the same outside dimensions but different opening positions. Show both arrangements and their quantities instead of treating them as interchangeable panels.
- Show the hidden details. Define both skins, the core, finished overall thickness, edge closures and any inserts or fixing zones. Mark critical fit dimensions for agreement; do not assume an unlabelled sketch establishes a machining tolerance.
For each panel ID, a schedule can read: [drawing and revision] · [quantity] · [length × width × finished thickness, mm] · [face A / core / face B] · [edge and cut-out detail references] · [packing or orientation label]. Ask which drawing formats can be reviewed before sending the manufacturing files.
What if the sample, drawing and quotation do not match?
Resolve the discrepancy in writing before approving production. A sample may show colour and texture while the drawing defines geometry; neither should silently override a different construction stated in the quotation.
- Name the panel ID, document revision and field that differs, such as face-B material, overall thickness or a cut-out location.
- Ask for a revised quotation or drawing that identifies the agreed construction and any effects on cost or timing.
- Record which approved document controls each requirement and whether the retained sample remains representative.
Use Contact Banarta to start the drawing review and confirm a suitable way to share files. This checklist organises an enquiry; it does not approve structural capacity or establish a manufacturing tolerance.
Compare quotations line by line
Ask each offer to state its construction, price basis, packing scope, delivery basis and exceptions. If an alternative facing or core is proposed, record it as an alternative for review. Do not silently compare it as though it were the original specification.
Approve the first piece for the right reasons
For a custom or repeat programme, discuss a first-piece or representative sample approval. Check geometry, orientation, edge treatment and surface appearance against the drawing. Identify which characteristics require test evidence separately. A successful visual inspection does not establish fire performance, load capacity or suitability for an enclosure.
Control changes after approval
- Issue the revised drawing and identify the changed dimensions or construction.
- Ask for the cost, timing and technical effect before accepting the change.
- Confirm which revision applies to work not yet produced.
- Keep the approved sample reference and revised specification together.
- State how panel IDs and orientation should be marked for unpacking and installation.
Packing should protect the finished surfaces and edges while allowing the receiving team to identify parts. Discuss bundle sequence where installation order matters. Send the drawing set, quantity schedule and destination when enquiring about XPS Foam Composite Panels. This provides a concrete basis for a technical and commercial response.
Route the enquiry by facing material
| Required facing | Procurement route |
|---|---|
| PVC for door, wall or partition enquiries | PVC skin, frame-fit and cutting checklist |
| FRP for insulated-panel fabrication | FRP construction and supplier evidence checklist |
| Construction still undecided | Core and facing selection guide |
A custom XPS sandwich panel quotation should identify both faces separately, even if they are intended to match. Distinguish a stock-size sheet, a cut-to-size blank and a processed component. The last may require additional drawing review, tooling or a representative trial; ask which operations are available and included.
Reconcile the drawing revision before releasing an order
Use one release record per panel ID. The following is an illustrative document-control example, not a Banarta product specification or order. Left- and right-handed parts remain separate even when their outside dimensions match.
| Panel ID and quantity | Document check | Required action before release |
|---|---|---|
| P01-L: 24 pieces | Buyer drawing D-101 Rev C; supplier quotation still refers to Rev B. | Hold this line. Obtain written acceptance of Rev C and confirm its cost, timing and construction implications. |
| P01-R: 24 pieces | Drawing D-102 Rev C and quotation agree; retained sample only shows face-A finish. | Record the sample as a finish reference. Confirm the opposite face, handed geometry and other specified requirements separately. |
| P02: 8 pieces | Quotation offers an alternative face-B material against drawing D-103 Rev A. | Keep the alternative identifiable; accept it in a revised record or require an offer matching the original construction. |
For each released line, record [panel ID] · [drawing number/revision/date] · [quantity] · [quotation reference] · [sample reference and what it approves] · [resolved exceptions] · [buyer and supplier confirmation]. A matching revision label alone does not prove that every requirement is accepted.
If a drawing changes after approval, identify the affected panel IDs and ask what has already been made, is in progress or has not started. Agree the treatment of each affected quantity, revised price and delivery implications in writing before authorising the change. Do not assume that sending a newer file automatically replaces the production instruction.
Keep panel identifiers on the packing list so the receiving team can match each piece to its drawing. Confirm packed dimensions, unloading constraints and surface protection; large-panel handling must be planned around the actual shipment. Minimum order, production timing and freight require order-specific confirmation.
