Shortlist the pipe format first

For a specified 10 mm pipe, start with the BA-10 series. For a specified 16 mm pipe in a routed modular format, start with BEPS-1621 / BEPS-1631. These are the published pipe references for those products; do not infer other models’ pipe fit from the digits in their names.

Does 12 mm mean the complete heating panel?

For the published BA-10 configuration, 12 mm is the insulation layer within a 25 mm total panel height; it is not a 12 mm finished panel or a complete floor build-up. State separately whether your height limit applies to the insulation, panel or finished floor. Check the floor-height build-up checklist before choosing a low-profile option.

Searching for polystyrene underfloor heating panels? Specify whether the design requires expanded polystyrene (EPS) or an extruded polystyrene (XPS) heating board. Material names alone do not establish pipe fit, load capacity or suitability for a screed or dry-floor assembly. Send the required grade and assembly detail for confirmation; do not infer an EPS 400 grade from the panel name.

Same insulation thickness does not mean the same floor height

BEK-16, BEA-20 and BE-25 each list a 20 mm insulation layer, but their total panel heights are 36, 44 and 48 mm. Compared with BEK-16, the latter two consume 8 mm and 12 mm more panel height. The height above the base insulation is occupied by the profile geometry; it is not an extra continuous insulation layer.

If the design allows only 40 mm for the panel itself, the published 44 and 48 mm panels exceed that allowance. This dimensional screen is only the first step: the 36 mm option must still fit the specified pipe, screed and complete floor assembly.

Count installed coverage, not the outline of the sheet

The quoted external board dimensions may include overlapping or interlocking edges. Dividing room area by the outer rectangle can therefore understate the order. Ask for the usable coverage of the exact model and calculate each model separately; do not use one common coverage value for the whole EPS range.

Use the mixed-model quantity and pack example before rounding the order, and the complete floor-height example when comparing low-profile options.

Choose the panel to suit the pipe diameter, spacing and planned screed build-up. Check the available insulation thickness, edge connection and surface finish against the installation design. Compressive and fire-performance requirements should be confirmed for the specific product, not assumed across the whole category.

  • BA-10 series: published for 10 mm pipes; confirm the supplied configuration and usable coverage.
  • BS-16: confirm pipe fit and circuit spacing from the current datasheet.
  • BWE-16 series: pipe-diameter entries need confirmation; do not select by model name alone.

Studded panels with HIPS film: BEK-16, BEA-20 and BE-25 all list a 20 mm insulation layer, with total heights of 36, 44 and 48 mm respectively. Choose by the complete panel specification, not the model number alone; confirm pipe compatibility and usable coverage for each order.

These dimensions describe the linked models only. Confirm the current datasheet before placing an order; panel thickness does not establish the load capacity or finished height of the complete floor.

Modular option for 16 mm pipe: the BEPS-1621 and BEPS-1631 EPS panels list a 1200 × 600 mm board format with 21 mm or 31 mm panel thickness. They use preset pipe paths and optional aluminum facing. Specify the model, facing and routing requirements separately; confirm usable coverage, insulation details and the complete floor build-up with the quotation.

Distributor and project quotation requirements

Send the model, required floor area or panel quantity, pipe outside diameter, circuit spacing, floor finish and available build-up height. Include the destination, delivery requirement and any packaging, label or product-document requirements for your market.

For mixed-model enquiries, list quantities separately so board coverage and packing can be checked for each specification. Minimum quantities, sample arrangements, price and lead time require confirmation in the quotation.
