XPS Foam Insulation Boards

Slotted XPS Foam Board

Slotted XPS foam core board for specified insulation and composite-panel fabrication. Provide the slot drawing, board dimensions and tolerance requirements. Pipe fit or finished-assembly suitability must be confirmed for the supplied configuration.

Slotted XPS Core Board for Panel Fabrication

Slotted XPS foam board is offered for use as a core in sandwich-panel fabrication and other specified insulation assemblies. The product information identifies composite panels and refrigerated vehicle bodies as application areas to discuss.

Specify the slot pattern, board thickness and required tolerances with a drawing. The published table does not define slot width, depth or a compatible heating-pipe diameter, so the supplied machining must be confirmed for the intended use.

Confirm which board grade and surface options apply to the slotted configuration. Request the current datasheet, applicable test reports and clarification of service-temperature limits and fire classification.

Fabrication Requirements

  • Provide overall dimensions and a drawing of the slot pattern.
  • State required thickness and dimensional tolerances.
  • Identify proposed facings, bonding materials and processing requirements.
  • Confirm the core grade and documentation needed for the complete assembly.

A slotted foam core is not automatically an aluminum-faced pipe-layout panel or a ready-to-tile substrate. For a specified hydronic heating construction, compare the aluminum-faced grooved XPS heating board and confirm pipe compatibility separately.

Quotation Information

Include dimensions, machining drawing, quantity, intended application and delivery destination. Confirm packaging and handling requirements for the fabricated core pieces.
