Fabrication Requirements

• Board and part identification: overall length, width and thickness, part reference, drawing revision and quantity for each part. Identify mirrored or differently machined pieces separately.
• Slot geometry: dimension the required width, depth, spacing and position from a named edge. Mark which face is machined and whether slots stop before an edge or run through it.
• Tolerances and acceptance: show the dimensional tolerances and any critical remaining core thickness on the drawing. Ask for confirmation of the proposed machining scope and sample evaluation before placing the order.
• Assembly details: identify the proposed facings, bonding materials and processing requirements. Confirm the core grade and documentation needed for the complete assembly.

A photo can explain the general slot arrangement, but it should accompany a dimensioned drawing. An existing product image does not establish a standard slot size or a guaranteed tolerance.

A slotted foam core is not automatically an aluminum-faced pipe-layout panel or a ready-to-tile substrate. For a specified hydronic heating construction, compare the aluminum-faced grooved XPS heating board and confirm pipe compatibility separately.
