A pipe that fits into a groove is only the first compatibility check. The heating design must also suit the room demand, circuit layout and floor covering, while the finished construction needs suitable support and permitted layer materials. Make these checks together rather than selecting each component independently.
Coordinate three documents

Use the same room references across all three. If a floor finish changes, tell the heating designer as well as the flooring contractor. The change may affect heat transfer, total depth or installation requirements even when the panel order remains unchanged.
Check the actual pipe and profile
Specify the pipe outside diameter and the selected panel model. Confirm straight-run fit, bends, return zones and transitions to the manifold. Ask for the panel’s permitted configuration; do not force an incompatible pipe into a profile or assume a generic routing pattern will fit the final circuit drawing.

Let the design determine spacing and output
Pipe spacing and circuit details should follow the heating calculation. The floor covering is part of that calculation: its thermal resistance and temperature limits matter. This guide does not assign a universal spacing or heat-output figure.
Do not skip the covering-layer decision
Do not assume tiles, timber or another finish can be laid directly on every aluminium-faced or studded panel. Obtain the full permitted floor build-up, including any load-distribution, preparation and bonding requirements. Confirm that the complete depth works at thresholds and adjoining rooms.
Checks before the floor is covered
- Match the installed panel and pipe references to the approved design.
- Verify that routes and return zones follow the layout.
- Complete the tests required by the selected heating-system instructions and keep the results.
- Photograph pipe routes before concealment.
- Agree the curing, commissioning and initial heating procedure with the relevant suppliers.
