Grooved XPS Panels for Water-Based Floor Heating
These radiant floor heating panels combine an XPS insulation board with an aluminum sheet facing. Grooves provide the pipe path for a hydronic heating circuit, with the layout and pipe size specified for the project.
The published panel dimensions are 1500 × 600 mm, with a 25–50 mm thickness range. Aluminum thickness and custom groove requirements should be confirmed with the proposed configuration.

Request the current datasheet and relevant test reports for the selected grade. Confirm the fire-classification standard and service-temperature limits before using the listed values in a project specification.
Specify the Pipe Layout and Floor Finish
Provide the pipe outside diameter, circuit spacing and routing drawing when selecting the grooves. Coordinate the panel with the substrate and all covering layers; a grooved heating panel is not automatically a waterproof tile substrate.
- Check substrate preparation and support requirements.
- Confirm any load-distribution, bonding or separating layers required for the selected finish.
- Allow for the complete assembly when calculating finished floor height.
- Use the installation instructions for the specific heating system and floor finish.
Timber or tile installation directly over the panel must be confirmed for the complete assembly. The panel alone does not establish that leveling or additional layers can be omitted.
