Double-Sided Cement-Coated XPS Supply
Alibaba product reference: 1601582350137. This board has an XPS core with fiberglass mesh and cement coating on both faces. Its available finished-board thickness is 6–50 mm, including the faces; this is not the bare-core thickness.
This reference is supplied for shower walls, floors and sink surrounds. It has reinforced cement coatings, not solid fiber-cement sheets as its faces. The stated construction and thickness range apply to this reference; the performance figures in the table above require confirmation for the selected configuration.

Which backing board do you need?
Choose this coated XPS construction when you need an insulating foam core with a reinforced surface for a specified tile system. An uncoated XPS sheet lacks that reinforced coating; a solid cement board does not have an XPS insulation core. Compare the practical differences between XPS and cement backer boards before substituting one for the other.
Does a thicker board solve a weak wall?
No. A board fixed across studs and one bonded to continuous solid backing have different support conditions. Specify stud spacing or the existing wall substrate first, then select thickness and fixings for that arrangement. Use the wall thickness and support guide to distinguish these cases. Shelves and fixtures also need their own support details.
Can tiles go straight over the board?
The cement-based coating is the surface to assess for tile-adhesive compatibility. The selected adhesive, board fixings and tile load must work together. In a shower, seal board joints, screw penetrations, corners and connections using the matched system before tiling; a coated board does not make those connections watertight by itself.
