An XPS-based substrate for tiled assemblies
This tile substrate board combines an extruded polystyrene foam core with fiberglass and cement-based surfaces. Discuss it for wall or floor projects requiring a tile-backing layer with an insulation core.
Choose the board thickness and dimensions alongside the substrate, fixing method and tile finish. The surface construction is different from an uncoated XPS insulation sheet.

Request current size and thickness options, plus the datasheet and test conditions for the proposed board. Material properties do not establish the load capacity or waterproofing performance of a complete tiled assembly.
Specify the tile build-up
- Base and support: state whether the board is used on a floor, solid wall or framed support, and confirm the permitted construction.
- Bonding and fixing: confirm compatible adhesive, surface preparation and fixing details.
- Tile finish: provide the tile type and loading requirements for system review.
- Wet-area details: include joints, corners, penetrations and connections to the sealing system.
- Heating: confirm compatibility with the intended heating and floor assembly.
Follow the matched installation guidance. The board alone does not make a bathroom or shower watertight, and core strength alone does not approve a framed wall or shaped feature.
