This tile backer board combines an XPS foam core with fiberglass mesh and a thin polymer-cement coating on both sides. Discuss the board for tiled walls, bathroom and wet-room projects, or floor assemblies where an insulated tile substrate is specified.

Select the board thickness and dimensions for the intended support and installation method. Confirm compatible tile adhesive, fixings and joint treatment as part of the complete assembly.

Published material specifications

Request the current datasheet for the proposed board size and thickness, including test methods and conditions. The core compressive strength is not a load rating for a complete floor, framed wall, bench or other constructed feature.

Plan the complete tiled assembly

• Walls and framing: confirm board thickness, support spacing, fixings and permitted tile loading.
• Wet rooms and showers: specify joint sealing, corners, penetrations and connections to the waterproofing system.
• Floors and heating: confirm the substrate, fixing or bonding method, heating-system compatibility and floor finish.
• Enclosures and shaped features: provide drawings and support details for project review.

The board alone does not make every assembly watertight. Follow the matched installation and sealing instructions, and verify the required system documentation before use.
