Pre-routed coated XPS panels for heating-system orders
This board combines an extruded polystyrene core with a mortar coating described as approximately 1 mm on either side and pre-routed channels for hydronic heating pipes. The published range lists 1200 × 600 mm panels, 20–50 mm total thickness and groove options for 16 mm or 20 mm pipe.
Specify one pipe outside diameter and the required groove pattern for each order line. The two pipe sizes are configuration options; do not assume that one groove fits both. Customized dimensions and patterns require a reviewed drawing and quotation.

Request the current datasheet and test methods for the supplied configuration. The published water-vapour entry combines inconsistent units and must be confirmed before calculations. Check the applicable test standard and report for the listed fire classification; neither entry establishes the performance of the complete floor.
Send a routing drawing for a quotation
- Panel schedule: finished dimensions, total thickness, quantities and part references.
- Pipe layout: outside diameter, channel spacing, straight runs, turns and connections to adjoining panels.
- Drawing control: revision, orientation and any handed or mirrored parts; identify the face to be routed.
- Floor build-up: substrate, fixing or bonding method, covering layers and proposed finish for system review.
Review a sample against the pipe specification and drawing before approving a bulk order. Confirm groove dimensions, coating condition, packing, minimum quantity, lead time and delivery destination in the quotation.
Confirm the complete floor assembly
Check the supplied system instructions for support, pipe retention, covering layers and compatible finishes. The panel alone does not establish direct-to-tile suitability, energy savings, heating response, sound reduction or a watertight floor. Wet-area joints, edges and penetrations need the specified sealing details.

Compare the board construction
The grooved XPS tile backer board lists the same nominal size, thickness and pipe-option ranges. Compare the actual groove drawing and coating rather than treating similar names as proof of different grades. For plain tile backing, review the XPS core tile backer board for wet areas.
