Grooved XPS panels with mortar-coated surfaces
This tile backer board uses an XPS foam core with preformed pipe grooves and a mortar coating described as approximately 1 mm on either side. It is a coated-panel option for underfloor heating enquiries, distinct from aluminum-faced heating panels.
The published range lists 20–50 mm overall thickness, a 1200 × 600 mm panel size and groove options for 16 mm or 20 mm pipe, with customization available for discussion. Confirm the selected pipe diameter and groove layout before ordering.

Request the current datasheet and test methods for the selected configuration. The water-vapour permeability entry contains inconsistent units in the published table and requires confirmation; do not use that entry for design calculations. Confirm the applicable fire-classification standard and report as well.
Confirm the complete floor assembly
- Pipe layout: diameter, groove pattern, spacing and turning details.
- Base: substrate condition, panel fixing or bonding method and support requirements.
- Layers above the panel: any required filling, covering or load-distribution layer.
- Floor finish: tile, adhesive or other finish compatibility with the complete heating system.
- Wet areas: joints, penetrations and connections to the specified waterproofing system.
Do not assume that tiles, wood, laminate or carpet can be installed directly on every configuration. Confirm the matched installation instructions and performance requirements; heating response and temperature distribution depend on the system design.
Project enquiry
Send the floor plan, pipe specification, panel thickness, quantity and delivery destination. Include the intended floor finish and required system documentation.
Compare the aluminum-faced XPS radiant panel or XPS core tile backer board for wet areas against the proposed construction.
